As a guest at Debbie’s and her top team
At Can Portell, you’ll feel right at home. Debbie, the owner of this beautiful place, runs a bed and breakfast together with her wonderful team, where nothing is left to chance. From the warm welcome to the delicious meals, everything is taken care of down to the last detail. While we were able to focus entirely on crocheting and enjoying ourselves, they made sure we had everything we needed. Their enthusiasm, attention to detail, and love for their work are truly unmatched.
Every morning we were treated to a hearty breakfast, followed by a morning full of creativity. During our group crocheting time—usually from breakfast until lunch—everyone sat relaxed, working on their own project, whether they were just starting out or already advanced. Meanwhile, the staff prepared a delicious lunch. Every dish was a treat in itself, prepared with love and care. There’s no better way to wrap up the morning!
Crocheting with a good dose of fun
These workshops are perfect for anyone who loves crocheting—whether you’re just starting out or are already an experienced crocheter. In a relaxed atmosphere, we exchanged tips and ideas, worked on our projects, and learned from each other. It was wonderful to see how quickly friendships formed and how everyone inspired one another. With a warm cup of coffee in hand and the sound of women laughing in the background, every morning felt like a little party.
The rest of the day was yours to enjoy: you could relax at Can Portell or head out to explore the area. No matter how you chose to spend your time, the days felt effortless and relaxing.
More Than Just Crocheting
Although crocheting was, of course, the main focus, there was also time to go on excursions at your own pace. Many participants chose to visit the historic city of Girona, with its charming streets, colorful houses, and impressive city walls. The surrounding villages and the beach were also popular destinations. Debbie and her team were always on hand with tips for the best spots, so you could make the most of your day.
For those who preferred to take it a little easier, Can Portel itself offered everything you needed. Enjoy a good book in the garden, take a walk in the surrounding area, or just take some time for yourself. Everything was possible; nothing was required.
Includes 5 nights’ lodging with a hearty breakfast, 3 lunches, and 4 dinners, as well as all the yarn you’ll need for your project and guidance from Laura
