Casita del escritor, or ‘the writer’s cottage’, is a tribute to Debbie’s father, who passed away far too soon: the writer Eelke de Jong. Debbie also lives, in a way, within the dream he had of what his life would be like when he grew old… But that was never to be. The writer’s cottage is a unique spot in the garden of Mas Ferrer, by the River El Terri. It is a self-contained tiny house with space for one or two people. The ideal spot for a writer to put the finishing touches to their book. But these days it’s mainly used to ‘only the lonely’ enjoy nature, with the bustling Can Portell behind you.
